Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Program

The ASIST scholarship program aids adult students who are at transitional points in
their lives and are returning to school to continue their education.  In 2009, the
Atlanta Chapter of EWI will award three scholarships of $2,000 each to adult students
who meet specific criteria, below.  On the national level, EWI awards a number of
additional scholarships to select applicants nominated by local Chapters nationwide.

The Atlanta ASIST scholarship committee works with Georgia Perimeter College
(GPC) to solicit applications from adult students with a need for financial support.
Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.5, be a citizen of the USA, have completed
nine or more credit hours of college level courses, and be able to provide
supplementary documentation and letters of recommendation.  Complete application
packets must be received by April 1st, and are then screened for meeting application
criteria.

A selection of top rated candidates are invited to interview with a selection
committee.  Winners are notified and receive their award at an EWI Scholarship
Award dinner.  Georgia Perimeter College is then responsible for monitoring and
allocating the funds, which are earmarked only for books or tuition at GPC.

Application packets can be obtained by contacting Georgia Perimeter College™
scholarship office directly by phone at 678-891-2559, or by email to
Erica.hart@gpc.

Funds for the Atlanta Chapter's ASIST program are raised through numerous
fundraising efforts of the members and from the contributions received from member
firms and outside organizations.  If you would like more information on sponsorship or
